Haunter Passed On

I just heard thru Ghoul Friday’s Blog that Bruce from Stittsville Haunt has passed away. When I first read Ghoul Fridays’s Blog I didn’t read it fully, only glancing at parts of the blog. I have a bad habit of doing that. So I thought she was only complaining about the number of haunters in Ontario, so I thought I would give her a smart-ass comment as always and move on. It wasn’t until I fully read her blog that I truly understood the gravity of the situation. Sometimes I wish I would have listened to my mother when she said “think before speaking.” Sorry Ghoul Friday. And after reading her blog I finally remember Bruce from my Hauntseeker site. Come to find that Bruce had signed up for my Hauntseeker site a while back. To honor his memory, I have his haunt a featured display on Hauntseeker until further notice. And for Hauntseeker and myself, I would like to give my condolence to his friends, family and to the people that came to see his haunt year after year. “The Stittsville Haunt began in 1998 with a few lawn props that included an open coffin with skeleton, a few headstones, and of course, creepy sounds and lighting. Today we have a full fenced graveyard complete with animated coffin and animated zombies.”

Buying Dolls

Today I decided to buy some rather unique rag dolls from Tattered Rags. Jodi, the creator of Tattered Rags is going to make me a larger size Hauntseeker.com doll and a smaller Planetgravemarker.com doll. The characters that she makes are Goth, just like the characters from my two sites. My understanding is it is going to take some time, but I guess I can wait. I have already given her the green light to start on the two characters. I will post pictures when I get them.

Lately I did some modification to the website to allow people not to enter in their street address. This was done so that if someone didn't want their address listed, that had that option.

I decided that it would be a good idea to allow people not to add their street address. So now people can opt out to doing so. Also deleted everyone's street address. If they want their street address listed they can add it later.

I having been working on adding a button on the site so you can click to have that address that you selected download to your TomTom. I am hoping it will be a hit.

I just wanted to anounce that www.planetgravemarker.com and www.hauntseeker.com were talked about on Rotting Flesh Radio on this weeks program. I was so cited so I of course made a video to mark the occation. Yeah Me!

So I got a rough draft of HauntWoman. I asked for a few modifications before I take it, but here is what she looks like right now. I asked for the bottle and the towl to be replaced.

I have been making plans to introduce another character onto the website. She will be a female and hopfully awesome looking. Using her to help promote the website. When she is finised I will have her out soon.

So I have worked out alot of bugs in the system and added YouTube video. They just supply their link to their video and my php will embed it into their page. It came out pretty good. Thinking about adding a little video icon to show if people have video or not.

Well, I didn't think it would happen but Chris came thru with sending me those files for my site. I owe him big time. Now I just have to figure out how to convert them to my site. That should take some time. LOL. Now people will be able to upload a file of their site and much more. I can't wait to get this thing going.

So my buddy didn't come thru for me on the PHP code for my site. Oh bummer. So I had to learn it myself. And it is looking pretty good so far. I have it so people can add their information on the web and it will display it for everyone to see. They even have a clickable link for google address and their website, if they have one. It is coming out pretty good so far. Still have to add the info for the front page and a few things too.

A few days ago I recieved a few voiceovers from thedementedelf, or Kevin. I already placed those tracks on my website. You can check it out yourself at www.hauntseeker.com. There are a total of 4 tracks on the hauntseeker site, and 1 one on the CMT site. Check them out when you get a chance.

Currently I am working on a better background with my new Character "Hauntman". Hauntman was designed by a.k.a Mazscara. I think Hauntman came out pretty well, and I have to thank Mazscara from the bottom of my heart. Thank you Mazsara for all your hard work. I have a portion of the picture on here to show you Hauntman.

On the music side of Hauntseeker, I have a friend from myspace who allowed me to use his music as the title track to my site. The group is called Souls of Nephilims. One of the songs on his title album Falésia Compilation really inspired me, so I asked to use it. The song is called 05. Souls of Nephilims - There's no Light Here, and I must say it really hit to heart when I heard. Not only are they creative with their music, but some of their images from their site also strike a very good cord. Now on the website I only use part of the song, because I only wanted to use the first part of the song. But if you would like to hear more you can download his songs for free. You can download it here. If for some reason the site is down, you could check out Souls of Nephilims main website as well. Thanks Souls of Nephilims.

I am also have in the works for a voiceover for Hauntseeker.com. I have friend named Kevin from thedementedelf.com. I have had him do voiceovers for me before and he is damn good at it. Click here to hear it in flash. It is the intro to my other site. I am also going to have him include some voiceovers for my Chicago Make and Take site. That should be fun. I will tell you when I get them.

Next will come the code. I am hoping that my other good friend Kevin comes thru from Christmas Light Finder. He is planning on sending me the code for his site, so I can add it to mine. I am hoping that this will make it easier for people to add their site and look for others in the process. Once I add this to my site, people will be able to setup accounts, look for people via zip code, and maybe tell others what they think of the people's haunt when they go see it in person. I will have to cross my fingers.
